Why The Homestar Group?

“We began in 1999 with a dream to design and build homes from the ground up. In 2012 we realized that there were families that wanted to renovate their existing houses into their dream homes and those that needed maintenance services, including roofing, remodeling and insurance claim work.  And that was when we began a new company to provide those families with the right help, so that they could afford to make something truly their own.  The Homestar Group’s mission is a commitment to creating high quality and affordable renovations as well as new homes over the country for people to have what they want, right where they already live.  Over the years, we have taken the promise of affordable and innovative home building, renovations and repairs, completed with quality construction, and become a “do it all” contractor.

Our Management Team

Bryan King

Vice President

Bryan King is Vice President for The Homestar Group. King supports the company’s business operations, leading project managers, branch managers, and supervisors across the country.  He is the front-line contact with clients, ensuring a successful outcome for all projects.

He began in construction in 1999 and has worked as a project manager, construction manager, estimator and purchasing agent for several companies as well as running his own building and remodeling business. King has a Bachelor of Arts degree in visual communications from the Art Institute of Atlanta and is married with 2 children. He volunteers his time for his church and community activities.

Kathleen Myers

Executive Director

Kathleen Myers is the Executive Director for The Homestar Group. Myers offers support to the President focusing on day-to-day operations and managing the office.

Myers gained extensive experience in office management, payroll, and accounting with 21 years in the construction industry, specializing in electrical subcontracting, homebuilding, landscaping, pipeline, renovations and repairs.  She volunteers her time working with young people and introducing them to team sports. Myers is married with 2 children and is a life-long resident of Loganville, Georgia.

Donovan Wolf

Director of Accounting

Donovan Wolf is the Director of Accounting for The Homestar Group. Wolf manages all day-to-day accounting and financial functions, including investment processing, payroll, accounts receivable, and accounts payable

Previous to this, Wolf worked for 18 years at GBM, a facility services organization specializing in the delivery of janitorial, maintenance and landscaping services.  He held several positions, including accounting manager, controller and CFO and spent the last 7 years of his tenure as President, before joining The Homestar Group in 2016. A native of Tennessee, he received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major of accounting from the Tennessee Technological University. He is married with 2 children.

Rob Hooker

Recruiting Director

Rob Hooker is the Recruiting Director for The Homestar Group.  Rob supports the Operations team by finding, recruiting and bringing qualified provider partners into the Homestar Group.  By onboarding the best vendors in each of the markets Homestar provides services, Rob works to make sure that our vendor partners help provide successful outcomes for our clients and team.

Prior to joining Homestar, Rob worked with DayMark Homes, an investment company purchasing, renovating and providing financing options for single family homes across 12 states.  Additionally, Rob spent 10 years providing utility and consulting services in the Multi-family market.  Previously Rob has held several positions in the Medical Supply Industry, including Sales, Operations and Finance.  Rob is married with 2 daughters and enjoys any reason to be outside.

Conor Mancone

Senior Developer

Conor joined The Homestar Group as its Senior Developer around two years ago.  He joined because he believes that Homestar is on the front-line of bringing change to an industry that needs it, and is doing it in a way that will make life easier and better for all parties involved - technicians, property management companies, home owners, and renters. Conor feels that being a part of this process and seeing it happen from beginning to end is an exciting place to be! 

Conor has over a decade of experience with business automation for small companies throughout the US. He worked on developing software to automate business processes for all aspects of businesses.  His goal in that regard is exactly the same as it is here: using software to automate the mundane and routine parts of peoples jobs so that they can focus on delivering outstanding customer service and making people happy. Conor likes to think that his expertise is helping businesses to grow profitably and while serving their customers even better!

Conor went to college with the goal of becoming a college professor and so he earned a PhD in Astronomy. Then he realized that there were far more productive things to do with his life than that, so he left academia to pursue a career in software engineering.  However, his  time earning his PhD was still very productive, giving him a broad range of skills for his future career in the business world: public speaking, statistics, data mining, and keeping large projects organized.

Conor says his amazing wife and five children (four boys and one girl) to keep him busy when he’s not working. They help fill him life with the important things - laughter, tears, and potty jokes. Without them Conor says he would have far more money and time but far fewer things to enjoy.

When an individual, business, or institution contacts The Homestar Group in need of a renovation you will not need to wait days or weeks to have your property examined.


Upon arrival, the maintenance professional will ask questions about the needs of the property, tenants, and owners to ensure we satisfy all parties with subsequent services.

Insurance Claims

Your priority must be to get the damage fixed and get back into your home. When you work with The Homestar Group, your stress levels will go down as your home is put back together again.
