Milstead Park

Milstead Park's history is equally as intriguing as all of the events that take place there. It was a donation from Mr. and Mrs. Edward Milstead Jr in the 1960s allowed a public park to be established, which was finally realized in 1971 when the park opened to the public.

Located on 40 acres, Milstead Park has an amphitheater, gazebo, and playgrounds and is a lovely spot to spend time with family and friends. The park offers a variety of family-friendly activities, including biking and walking paths, tennis courts, soccer, football, and baseball/softball fields, as well as a playground and a huge pond for fishing. A variety of facilities are also available, including a concession shop with food and beverages, picnic tables, and barbecues for grilling your own meals. There are additional bathrooms and a multi-purpose space for meetings and activities accessible for use.

The Park also hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including an annual folk festival, as well as cinema nights in the summer. It also provides catering services for special events such as birthdays and anniversaries.

In addition to hosting a dog parade every summer, they also provide children's activities such as face painting and balloon artists. Summer camps are also offered in the city, and they are open to people of all ages. Those interested in visiting Milstead Park may do so at 1665 Main St. NE in Conyers, Georgia, where it is open from seven in the morning until eleven in the evening everyday.
