Arabia Mountain is located in DeKalb County, Georgia, in the southeastern United States. It was completely privately owned property at one time, but it is currently wholly maintained by the Arabia Mountain Heritage Alliance (AMHA) and controlled by The Nature Conservancy. Arabia Mountain's terrain is distinct because it is constructed of granite rather than gneiss, making it different from the surrounding terrain.

The monadnocks are the mountain's most noticeable geographical characteristics (isolated hills and mountains). Pinnacle Mountain is the highest of them. It is located at a height of 724 feet and provides amazing views of Atlanta, Stone Mountain, and even the Appalachian Mountains in North Carolina.

Arabia Mountain is thought to represent the remains of an old coral reef, according to geologists. Over time, geological pressures drove it up into a dome structure that once covered a large area of Georgia. It is made up of several smaller peaks, totaling 200 million square feet. These summits are thought to be among North America's oldest exposed rocks. They are from the Proterozoic, a geological epoch that lasted more than a billion years. In 2001 a grassroots movement began to preserve the area's unique environment and encourage its use by residents of the metropolitan Atlanta area. Since then, it has become an urban oasis for all those who visit.

While the mountain is located inside the municipal boundaries of Atlanta, it offers a green getaway for residents of one of the country's most crowded cities. It has about 40 miles of hiking paths with gorgeous scenery and plentiful plant and animal life for tourists to enjoy. The activities available here include scenic or fitness treks, photographic walks, riding, and even calm picnics or weddings.

If you want to visit Arabia Mountain, it is available round the clock a year, with the exception of specific holidays.
