Six Flags over Georgia is a renowned amusement park in the United States of America. It is located in Austell, Georgia. Originally known as "Marion Park," it was Atlanta's first theme park to be located outside the city boundaries. On August 5, 1960, it was opened.


Six Flags announced plans to expand the park in 2005, adding a second theme area with additional rides and activities. Six Flags announced plans to expand the park in 2015, including new rides and attractions as well as a waterpark component.

Six Flags Over Georgia's Tornado is one of the park's most popular rides. This family-friendly coaster reaches speeds of up to 60 miles per hour while spinning at a rate of ten revolutions per second for a total of forty revolutions every minute!
