The World of Coca-Cola is an Atlanta, Georgia-based museum dedicated to the history of the Coca-Cola Company. The 20-acre facility opened to the public on May 24, 2007, replacing the first exhibit that debuted in 1990 in Underground Atlanta.

History of World of Coca-Cola

After the late 1980s, underground Atlanta struggled to be the city's final significant retail attraction and a source of pride. This prompted Coca-Cola to seek a means to re-establish public trust in the corporation and its bottling plant in Atlanta. In 1990, Coca-Cola struck a deal with Georgia State University to host a new Coca-Cola museum, and Georgia State agreed to include the museum within the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History (the company's exhibits are currently housed at The Coca-Cola Museum in Atlanta). Over 500 Coca-Cola artefacts are on display, including historical packaging and advertising artwork.

The site has undergone several modifications throughout the years.
